Natalie Markham is an emerging Texas artist. She gravitates towards painting boldly-colored portraits and scenes that capture the unfiltered emotions, thoughts, taste, opinions, and freedom of women, from young to wise. Her work cherishes the moments when a woman forgoes the mask society prescribes and does exactly what is inside of her.
A distinct color pallet, playful patterns, and touches of metallic sheen make Natalie’s works both recognizable and energy-charged. She works primarily in acrylic paint, but enjoys incorporating mixed media such as gold leaf, old buttons, or broken jewelry into the piece to further express the personal style and personality of the imaginary women her art tells stories about.
“I feel the world big and bright, so that’s how I paint it.”
