Children are drawn to fire like moths to light. They are surprisingly unafraid of something that has such destructive potential.
The reference photo for this painting was taken at Kamp Kenwood in Chippewa Falls, WI. The Yellow River (near where it dumps into Lake Wissota) can be seen in the background. I grew up on the other side of Lake Wissota.
Pigments used: Burnt Sienna (PR101), Permanent Lemon Yellow (PY184), Cobalt Blue (PB28), and Titanium White (PW6).
