BACKGROUND
The memory that initially inspired this painting was a seemingly normal tree on the Nullarbor Plain, that as I walked past, the foliage took flight (a huge flock of green Budgies) leaving a bare skeleton.
PAINTING
Working on this piece, it became more about the landscape the birds were part of, The ancient land with its, intensity, layers and rhythms.
