Telluride is an old mining town with a new tourist facelift. Souvenir shirts sell at every other place. And every other place used to be or is a bank building. A mining town built first on silver then on mining legendary powder, and finally as ski retreat in the cold winter months. This Gondola makes its circle up and down the mountain 24/7. You have to be ready to hop of and on as it enters the shade of the buildings. I am a tourist whose souvenirs are her photographs.
