Valeria. Full face mask used in performances by Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ of Chandler, AZ. It has a light blue butterfly-wing design around the eyes with a large yellow T-shaped design coming from the inside of the eyes up the forehead over, which sits an intricate woven Mesoamerican inspired design in blue, yellow, pink, and green. The teeth are outlined in bright pink and light blue, and the chin has a blue S shape design with yellow on the outside and pink at the center, which matches the forehead design.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
