Omayra. Full face mask used in performances by theater and dance companies of Arizona. At the center of the forehead is a yellow dot underneath it is a blue V-shaped design with pink lines on the outside of the forehead. The eyes are outlined in large pink swirling designs with red on top the nose is a pale purple. The cheeks have two yellow dots on each and two blue triangles beneath them. The teeth are outlined in purple and pink, and the chin has two pink swoosh-like designs coming down from the cheeks with a blue triangle in the center.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
