Carved by artist in the Traditional Japanese Noh mask style. Noh mask's are typically carved with cypress then painted over, but mahagony was chosen to create a distinct style for the artist.
Three forehead creases . Eyebrow crease lines extending to nose bridge. Narrow, almond shaped eyes with square shaped pupils carved completely out. High cheek bones with one wrinkle line following the curve of each cheek bone. Two nasolabial folds on each side of mouth. Slightly opened mouth with four visible top teeth.
