Musicpaintings are paintings created in the artist's studio in reflection on a specific music piece. In this painting the musical movement and expression of Liszt's Ricordanza; Transcendental Etudes No.9 is depicted, as subjectively experienced by the artist. Music notes from significant parts of the score can be seen, surrounded by a flow of colourful planes and dynamic rhythm. The painting belongs to my early phase of Musicpaintings, including music notation through which I sought to bring the painting as close to the specific music piece as possible.

The painting 'Liszt - Ricordanza' took part in the event "Muziekschilderijen" / " Paintings of ...." ; a combination of concert and exhibition, in collaboration with pianist Sabine Simon , with paintings reflecting the music program.
