This painting, 'Chiarina', depicting Clara Wieck & Robert Schumann - the composer and his wife - was based on an archive photo. The painting took part in the event "Muziekschilderijen" (Musicpaintings) / "Paintings of .... ", a combination of a recital and exhibition in Heerenveen, The Netherlands, in 2011. In collaboration with pianist Sabine Simon, organised by Vriendenconcerten (artistic director Pamela Smits) The exhibition of paintings reflected the music program of the recital.
In 2012 the series of paintings took part in the exhibition "Muziekschilderijen" at the Amstelkerk, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
