With the chaos of Covid-19 I found myself stuck to the couch in a trance...one recovering from a toe surgery and one in a state that I needed to know what was transforming. In this time I found comfort in mindlessly drawing lines in my sketchbook, keeping my hands busy, going back to the basics of embroidery. With doing this the embroidery lead to more textiles. I love to weave and started to create textile works, created out of the comfort of memory...swings and tress. This work represents the inner twisted complexity of nature
with a simplistic yet tedious outcome. Keeping my hands busy while still is just me. “Love for the unspoken words of nature.”
That and the comfort I get from creating is what inspires me.
Linnea’s work is in the form of landscapes and snapshots details of nature, exploring ideas of memory of nature, vibrations, movement and ideas of unseen vibrations and energy. Linnea's work carefully builds layers upon layers, building depth with slight transitions of slight sodalities, her work upon these layers adds complexity within the space to create a textural history, illusion of depth; stirring a memory or an emotion for the viewer.
