This young buck roams the Davis Mountains with a small herd of mule deer. He paused to watch me, standing in place long enough for me to do a quick sketch. When I was finishing it back in the studio, I decided to let this be a vignette-- the incomplete lines suggest the speed and grace of this stately animal.
This 10" x 8" drawing is matted in acid-free ivory matboard to fit a 14" x 11" frame
