This trio of hummingbirds is a composite of three tiny summer visitors to our home in the Davis Mountains of Far West Texas. I photograph them as often as I can get near enough, and I've drawn each of these models separately. In this large, detailed drawing I put them together to capture the transience of their hovering flight.
