Artist Bio

Impressionist painter Stephen Smith is a native Oklahoman who majored in fine arts at the University of Tulsa. The past 25 years Stephen has been painting various subjects including landscapes, cityscapes, florals, and still lifes.

His work appears in many private and corporate collections nationwide. Stephen has exhibited in numerous juried shows and galleries locally and throughout the West and Midwest. Through his use of dynamic colors and brushwork, Stephen hopes to express his feelings about the subject and convey that emotion to the viewer. Following in the tradition of the Impressionist masters, Stephen applies multiple layers of paint to enliven the surface with broken color that his patrons find so compelling.
