This was a significant sculpture for me because it was the first work I made in my new larger studio, a move I made with financial hesitation, but "Surrender" assured me that I needed to trust that I was where I was meant to be.

My artistic practice is rooted in surrendering to my emotions. Understanding yourself and how you exist in this world is completely surrendering to oneself and examining the depths of your soul and identity. This sculpture is a reminder of how we must surrender to life as it unfolds and trust in the ebb and flow.
