PNW is a region with lakes, rivers, Puget Sound. We don't enjoy these in the winter like we do in warmer months but we think of them. The colors of this remind me of cold under currents . Living in the PNW the 24 / 25 winter was a long one. I also do some photography and set out on a project to find and photography color in winter. I was quickly discouraged. Feeling “blue” and discouraged I turned back to painting and created a series of blue paintings. The color is an expression of a winter mood that I know a lot of people were feeling. The botanical and water feel of this group is likely due to a longing for spring, sun and warmer days visiting our beautiful NW lakes and connecting again with the outside in my garden. Framed in Black Floater frame, hanging wire installed.
