Arcane
I painted this group of paintings after watching two seasons of the series Arcane. This had some inspiration in one of the characters that had a skill for inventing exploding things, like the monkey bombs. Lots of colors, sparkles, vibrant color. I loved the visual experience in this series.
Earth
Traveling, exploring, adventures, seeing new and different places is something that I wanted to do even as a young person. I started traveling at an early age with my younger sister. Getting on a plane, going to a new location or somewhere far from home to have new experiences was always exciting. As a seasoned soul I am at a time in life that I am able to see many places on my bucket list. My husband & I spend a lot of time traveling. Travel always leads to some creative inspiration and new paintings.
Expressive | Spirit
Works that are a reflection of my spirit, where I am able to paint expressing emotions I amfeeling or the environment around me.
Garden
My garden is one of my happy places. For me, they flowers, shrubs and trees are all about strength, peace, and tranquility. That is the feeling I get when I’m out tending to my gardens or even taking care of, talking to, my house plants. Spending time outside garden helps me clear my head, heal and gives me the resilience and courage I need to keep chasing my dreams.
Water
I was born in San Diego and my Dad was in the Navy. I spent all my life living in a place that was close to water. Here in the Puget Sound area of Washington State we have extraordinary lakes, rivers, the sound and are only a few hours to the Pacific Ocean. My travel, a primary past time, most often take me to a new tropical or beach location. For much of my later life I was lucky enough to have some means of getting out on the water. Being on the water is a very peaceful and relaxing place for me. This inspires a lot of my work. With some of my water inspired work I either had a dream that inspired the piece or I started out with a fully abstract piece and it morphed into something to do with water.
