"River Run" was inspired by this photograph taken by my husband, Len St-Aubin. It expresses qualities of three different bodies of water that we live near—the Ottawa River and Mud Lake in Ottawa, and the Hillsborough River in PEI. I used Len's close-up image of the lake as the basis for the overall composition and then abstracted it using a loose and spontaneous style.
