Intuition strikes again! I had this huge, blank canvas in front of me (it's as tall as I am). The longer I stared at it, the bigger the canvas seemed to get. So, I grabbed some blue paint and started moving my arms. And eventually, layer upon layer, "Chance of Silence" was born. To me, this painting feels calm and wide open. The soft blue is almost like a wash that blends into the early tones. I love that the air seems like it's moving. This may sound cheesy, but I just realized that this painting feels like it's both grounded and weightless at the same time.
