Though this phrase is Latin for "remember you must die," it is meant to remind us all to make the most of the time we have. In addition, when I have images of dead birds, it is a reference to the scripture in Matthew that says that God knows whenever even a small bird dies, and cares about each one, and how much more he cares about each of us.
