Most of the time, I create images that feel right to me and then I see if I can put it into words later. I don’t always like to share too much of my own thoughts as I firmly believe that we all bring our own stories to artworks and I enjoy that give and take between my work and viewers. At the same time, I know that it can help bridge the gap if I share whatever words help me interpret a piece. This one is called “Life & Death” and it might help to understand my faith, though I also just find beauty in the underlying skeletal structure that support us during life and I find the tension of that fascinating.
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” John 11:25
