The story of Job shows us some of the greatest suffering that we as humans can endure but also shows that in the midst of that extreme suffering, Job did not stop trusting God. We as Christians have been given more resources and greater knowledge than Job had so that we can be encouraged to keep trusting God in our own darkness. We know that no matter what happens now, God will wipe away every tear and heal every form of suffering when we join him in heaven. We know that he is always with us and hasn’t deserted us. And we know that he loves us enough to become human and suffer himself just to be with us. These are the truths that we can hold on to and use help us look to God despite whatever darkness we are going through.
