Natural wonders aren’t always grand. Sometimes, they’re tiny things waiting quietly to be seen.
I walk the Dry Creek trail system often, pausing to notice the small details—a curled leaf, the shimmer of insect wings, the way light catches the edge of a mushroom. These quiet treasures often come home with me, becoming part of still life photographs that I later transfer into layered mixed media artworks.
In Works of God's Hands, fragments of nature—a sphinx moth, a june bug, a oak leaf, and a pair of delicate fungi—are preserved in a luminous field of texture and light. This piece is part of an ongoing series honoring the intricate beauty in the overlooked and the ephemeral.
A meditation on wonder, presence, and the divine craftsmanship of the natural world.
