Acrylic painting commissioned by Aurizon. Lake Liddell power station located in the Hunter Valley in NSW, was decommissioned in April 2023. The man made lake for use in cooling at the power station was forced to permanently close to the public in 2016 due to amoeba Naegleria fowleri being detected in the water. The single-celled organism can cause severe brain infection if water containing the amoeba enters the nose while swimming. Heavy metals were also found to be present.
