Millbrook Marsh often marks a return for me. It's a place where I find my way back to painting after a pause. This pastel was inspired by a sunset I caught last fall while leaving my yoga class at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center.

The light was soft and fleeting, the world briefly hushed-one of those moments that asks to be noticed and remembered. It felt like a quiet beginning rather than an ending.
