SOLARIZATION
Series: ATMOSPHERE
In Solarization, countless fragments of washi paper, each dyed with red India ink, are arranged one by one like petals, constructing a three-dimensional collage that spirals around a center. The surface undulates in a fractal rhythm, expanding and contracting like a living organism.
The monochromatic red floods the work with intensity: a chromatic field that becomes a metaphor for inner strength, the vital energy that animates all natural movement. The process itself—an almost ritualistic repetition of cutting, folding, and layering—becomes a meditative act, a personal mantra through which the work slowly emerges.
In this spiral of paper and red light, the viewer is immersed in an atmosphere of vibration and resonance. The gaze wanders between folds and textures, discovering a rhythm that simultaneously speaks of cosmic expansion and intimate interiority.
Like the Atmosphere series, Solarization proposes a poetic landscape, both abstract and organic, where the boundary between the material and the immaterial dissolves and color becomes energy, presence, and transformation.
