You can almost smell the fire burning and hear the silence in this snowy night. I loosely based this oil painting on a quick photo I took one evening from my backyard. It was not quite dark and so peaceful surrounded by all the snow.
This was a fun painting I quickly did on a canvas board with a friend and my sister. We all worked from the same reference photo and all of our paintings turned out so differently.
