Welcome! I grew up throughout the west and southwest of America, and have learned to see the distinctive beauty of our world no matter where I find myself.
MessageI’m learning to approach, and to appreciate my own local community as I would if I were traveling to a wonderful new location, looking at our streets and alleyways, our landscapes, urban scenes, and rural landmarks as if I were seeing them for the first time. It’s amazing what we can see when we just work on our awareness a little bit. These grain elevators are fascinating rural landmarks, even as suburbs are developed around them. I love the shapes and shadows, and their visibility from all around the community. Because of bridges and railroad tracked, it took me a bit to find a great view of this one on my motorbike, but I persisted, and I believe I’ll head back to this spot a few more times in the coming weeks.
