What initially drew me to the golf ball, this ubiquitous object, is the geometric dimple pattern in the sunlight—and the challenge of trying to draw it well. I wanted to represent the pattern and shape without rendering every single little dimple. I learned a lot on this study and am looking forward to taking another swing at it (see what I did there?) on a larger piece.
