Artist Statement:
Compliments 3 is part of the ongoing series, Structured Color, which focuses on weaving three-dimensional cloth and exploring the architectural potential of fabric construction through yarn properties. I employ the Psychology of Limitations in relation to the loom, the computer pixel, and materials. Utilizing a single weave structure, Waffle Weave, I alter the scale, materials, and color, creating cloth that is inherently dimensional and visually impactful.
