Born to Dutch dairy farmers in LA, lived life cross-culturally, especially in Africa , now pursuing my first love, making art.
MessageMy family spent a year in Neuchatel, Switzerland learning French before going to francophone Africa.
We got around on foot, buses, trains, friends’ cars, and by “teleferik” (cable car)—which was the most fun of all.
This was a teleferik for daily use, the most practical way to get from one spot to another.
My kids were little (5, 3, and 2) and we all found the whole thing quite the adventure—swinging high in the air, with people and houses far below.
And, maybe because we were in Switzerland, there was always chocolate somewhere along the way: before, during and/or after.
