Addressing Time

This painting brings together moments in time. The layers are crisply separated by transparent medium. This suspends time as one layer of paint is suspended above but not touching another. A close examination in strong light reveals shadows. The paint varies from transparent to opaque. Thin layers converse with sculptural layers. Questions called to mind include the tug between linear and circular time. Humanity move one direction, forward, through time but nature revisits time season after season. Could it be that we are more seasonal than we believe? How many seasons are there really? So many questions and a lovely painting to keep you company as you ponder the deep questions.
