IF ONLY...
What a waste of time, energy, and brain cells.
If only traps the one who ponders in the past and taints the future.
Worse...if only... STEALS THE PRESENT.
Promises are cheap, but the promise of tomorrow is a lie. All we have is this moment. Oh, that we could spend this moment in the here and now. Art transcends if only and what if. Art is experienced in the here and now. Between art and viewer is the magical space of now.
This is a painting about releasing the if only and embracing now. Embracing the power of now. Fully aware of what has gone before. Aware of what might be. Embracing the fleeting now and being thankful for the breath one breathes - now.
