Élodie Palfer-Sollier, born in 1972 in Paris, lives and works in Rennes, France. As a photographer and a transdisciplinary artist, she combines photography, writing, sound, and video in a practice that is both intimate, conceptual, and symbolic. Her intuitive approach favours self-portraits, montage, and introspective video works, in black and white or colour. She is known for her ability to capture gazes, gestures, and emotionally charged atmospheres, through a pared-down, sometimes unsettling aesthetic.

Her work explores introspection, inner transformation, and vulnerability, delving into the confronting relationship with oneself and others through the lens, silence, and light. Major projects include the video triptych La Voix de l’Eau, which traces a cycle of inner transformation guided by the element of water, as well as the series Peacock and Dune, both centred on the gaze. The Shift is a symbolic self-portrait illustrating personal metamorphosis.

Élodie Palfer-Sollier has exhibited notably at the Métro de Barcelone exhibition (Passeig de Gràcia station, June 2025). Her work, at the intersection of image, text, and sound, creates a space of intimate and poetic resonance, inviting the viewer into a sensitive and transformative experience.

Élodie Palfer-Sollier, née en 1972 à Paris, vit et travaille à Rennes, en France. Photographe et artiste transdisciplinaire, elle associe photographie, écriture, son et vidéo dans une pratique à la fois intime, conceptuelle et symbolique. Son approche intuitive privilégie les autoportraits, les montages et les vidéos introspectives, en noir et blanc ou en couleur. Elle est reconnue pour une œuvre qui capte le regard, les gestes et les ambiances émotionnellement chargées, avec une esthétique épurée, parfois dérangeante.

Son œuvre aborde l’introspection, la transformation intérieure et la vulnérabilité en explorant la relation confrontante à soi et aux autres à travers le regard, le silence et la lumière.
