The artist represents his interpretation of a old monochrome oil painting he acquired, "Moonlit Schooners At Sea", c.1880, attributed to August Löhr. The sea is dynamic with blues and greens, the sky cloudy with approaching storm, sun partially covered. The frame is a modern composite in the simplest of Baroque styles, antiqued bronze finish.
