Somehow batiks work well with my hand-painted background fabrics, and I think Angel with Bird is a good example of that. Even though I found most of the batiks I liked, trying to find a nice batik for the wings was not so easy. The halo around the angel is also a hand-painted fabric with a very special glow to it. The bird is a hand-painted textile as well. After much trial and error, I came up with a soft purple fabric to frame the artwork. I find that the image is very peaceful and lovely.
