It took me years to finish this painting. Unbelievable but true. I once started it as a commission. Not sure when exactly, I think it was 2018... I never finished the commission, until early summer 2025, and of course there's no commission anymore. With the unusual, long and narrow format, I've worked on it off and on, put it away and took it out again.

But last time I was determined not to stop until I finished it. At some stage I thought that it's on a good way and doesn't need much more, just highlighting some contrasts and adding some more blue - yes!!!

To me SPLASH evokes memories of a joyful day at the seaside, searching for shells on the beach, frolicking in the water.

It can be hung either horizontally or vertically. Therefore, it's only signed on the back.
