LOST MYSELF IN PINK (80 × 80 cm) wasn’t planned this way - I had something entirely different in mind, but during the process I mixed five or six colors directly on the raw linen, using wide, sweeping brushstrokes. The pink took over: layered, vibrant, and full of movement. It almost erased what came before. I simply lost myself in it.
Only later did a fellow artist mention those pink lakes. I looked them up and was stunned by the resemblance. That’s what I love about painting: the unexpected, the emotional pull, the way color can take over and shift everything.
This piece is part of my contemporary abstract practice; intuitive, expressive, and rooted in physical gesture. The surface is smooth, with minimal texture, allowing the color and composition to speak clearly. I especially love the sides, the paint dripped down when it was lying flat and I used a lot of paint. On the extra deep frame this looks amazing, even more if you want to hang it unframed.
For collectors, galleries, and interior designers looking for modern abstract art, color-driven compositions, or statement pieces in pink, this work offers emotional depth and a bold visual presence. It brings warmth, spontaneity, and elegance to curated interiors, minimalist spaces, or vibrant art walls.
