When it comes to titles, I often find it difficult to sum up all a painting expresses to me in a few words. On the other hand titles are so important to transport my thoughts about the painting. What it expresses, what it means to me. Even more because my work is abstract and the title is the result of the silent talk with the work during the creation process. When I start to see and feel what a work wants to be, what leads to thinking about the world, humans, their relationships...

Then thoughts and work are growing together, the feelings and ideas sink into the canvas with the paint and the energy and love I have for creating. This one is like a phoenix, ready to fly, reborn out of fire and ash. Bold. Brave. Powerful. A symbol that you can survive. That you should chase your dreams. That you shouldn't let other people hold you down.
