When you're so fascinated by the idea behind a commission that you end up doing several works at once...
This original is the second of three paintings based on a specific palette: Back in 2023, I had a commission with this color scheme, but additional the idea behind the project was the theme of partnership, love, and being there for one another, taking care. Combined with the requested colors, this led me to the title: Alluding to an old wedding tradition of bringing "something borrowed" and "something blue", it became "Something Yellow, Something Blue".
There was only one painting commissioned, but I was captivated by the concept, the idea behind it and the endless possibilities of this color combination, so I created three pieces.
