Acrylic on panel

In 2022, I was fortunate to find a home in the hills of Eugene, bordered by majestic firs and other trees prevalent in this part of the world. It's no exaggeration to say that not a day goes by that I'm not amazed by the natural beauty in my own backyard.

In this beautiful setting, I find limitless opportunities to capture moments of relaxation and al fresco meals with neighbors. It's especially enjoyable to taste the wines of the Willamette Valley and appreciate the bounty that this valley supports.

“Floral Notes with a Lively Finish” refers to the characteristics of a white wine and is a celebration of spring in Eugene. I had clipped the iconic daffodils from my own front yard and poured a chilled white wine from a nearby winery. Sitting on the edge of the woods in my favorite wicker chair, I found inspiration for a painting that I hope reminds the viewer of the simple joys and abundance of this area and evokes their own memories of peaceful settings.
