I Can See Clearly Now 12” x 12” acrylic on canvas

Nostalgia & Being Present
Love Love Love this song, it was and is my karaoke go to. I forgot about it until last night when a magical moment happened with my son. We were driving home on a snowy night and he needed me to help with the defroster, when the windshield cleared he started singing this song. Afterwards, he proceeded to describe the snow storm in detail, its beauty and what it made him feel like. This may not seem like a big deal unless you have had the pleasure of raising adolescent male(s).
The painting uses the same pouring and scratching technique I used in day #8 I’m Coming Home. The void in the composition represents clarity. Note the colors are consistent with the series. WHITE = purity, GOLD = illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion, magic, and wisdom, GREY = the dichotomy of pain and healing, PINK = hope and encouragement.
