92118 – Art by the Numbers was sponsored by the Coronado Cultural Arts Commission, in partnership with the Coronado High School Visual Arts Department.

92118 - Art by the Numbers was created as part of a community public art event during the 92118 Day Celebration (9/21/18).

Led by artist Karrie Jackson, a team of CHS student artists (alumni and current students) designed this five‐panel art piece to mark the celebration of the once in a lifetime occurrence of Coronado’s zip code on the calendar.

Each panel features a digit of the Coronado zip code with iconic images of Coronado to create a vintage postcard effect. The designs were imagined and drawn on the wood boards in a paint by numbers format and members of the community painted during the festivities.

This painting is a reminder of the 92118 Day Celebration and all the wonderful elements that make Coronado worthy of a special day of celebration.
