Boissevain is a master painter whose primary concern sits with the fundamental skills of drawing and its description of form through line and colour. His paintings are very much impressionistic; gestural expression through fluid manipulation of line as it holds the colour in check. He explores the Australian Landscape and, in this work, focusing on capturing the movement and colour of the lake and surrounds of Joondalup.
