Grey Nomad Tracking V continues the artist’s exploration into methods of visually mapping how we move through, negotiate, migrate and travel across the world. The tracks in this piece are those of ‘grey nomads’ – the retired traveler - as they traverse Australia. There are four tracks, each track taken by an actual family, a couple or a lone traveler. The tracks overlap, drawn as if the surface might once have been a table-top inscribed with the travelers’ tales made whilst sitting around the camp table swapping stories, marking, mapping and tracing their recent travels.
