Funded through the City’s School Connections project as part of the City’s Mural Arts program, murals such as this bring art into the public space, promote discussion and encourage the exchange of ideas.

The mural consists of a series of photographic images that were taken by the students, reflecting on their hopes and dreams for their future careers which include zoo keeping, singing, travel journalism and basketball.

Camera Story is two professional photographers, Jacqui Warrick and Sarah Landro, who collaborated with the students on the project with an aim of connecting kids and communities to photography. Jacqui and Sarah ran two photographic workshops with the participants, introducing them to the manual functions of a digital single lens camera and offering the young photographer's advice on how to create interesting and meaningful photographs through story telling with imagery.
