One of a series of digital renditions of hand sketches of a growing plant over around four months. These were made during lockdown in 2020 and have since become an important resource for me visually. They recall the difficult times, my struggles with mental health, and the power of nature and art to help. I like this variant a lot. The image is nicely balanced and you can feel the speed of the sketch but it is also still textured and 'gritty'. For me it shows the tension between the physicality of drawing and the magical possibilities of digital art.
