Late summer landscape with birch tree and meadow painted on location by Carrie Lacey Boerio. Watercolor gouache 11 x 14 inch painting on cradled prepared board, sealed with cold wax.
I painted this on location outdoors (en plein air) at Blendon Woods Metro Park in Columbus, Ohio. I used a highly pigmented watercolor called gouache and sealed it with a coat of cold wax. The surface is archival Ampersand Claybord with a contemporary built-in frame (cradled). It can also be hung in a traditional frame.
