This painting explores a kind of narrative along with symbolism. There are likely many ways of reading or thinking about this piece, certainly not limited to my ideas. One of my ideas is that of symbiosis and interconnectedness, another idea is that the tortoise represents the earth (stemming from the world tortoise myths).
