Historically, elk have roamed the forests and plains of North America and Eurasia, serving as a vital component of various ecosystems. In many cultures, the elk holds symbolic and mythological significance, often representing attributes such as strength, endurance, and nobility. In Celtic traditions, they were seen as divine messengers, while in some Scandinavian myths, elk antlers often represented the connection to spiritual realms and higher knowledge.

Like much of my work, I'm interested in creating a contrast between realism and a variety of 2D shapes and design elements. I'm fascinated how these 2 seemingly disparate art styles work together. Rather than make the entire image look flat, these shapes often actually enhance the realism.
