Poolside paintings from Plein Air Austin’s paint out at the best swimming pool in Texas. "Perhaps even in the known universe" as one lady told me today. No argument here. Barton Springs Pool in Awesome, Texas is simply the best. Period.
So, I was chasing the rising sunlight as it was reflecting on the water as shown in these progress pics for about two and a half hours. My new friend, Antonio air dropped his picture of me in action. Thank you! These were done after a quick early morning oil sketch of the sunrise as it appeared over the Austin skyline from the upper end of the pool. THIS is the way to beat triple digit temperatures: You Paint>swim>paint some more> swim some more > it’s a rinse and repeat kinda thing and you always walk away with something interesting that didn’t exist before. No masterpieces-no worries, but certainly a promising start to something new.
